i got my chronology wrong in my last post - this was actually the first proper release, but was all recorded after the "dead messages" stuff. the ep was our first attempt at putting together some kind of coherent record, rather than just recording songs as the fancy took us.
again it was recorded during studio downtime at the church - hence the title. plus none of it sounds particularly "up". see we're pretty deep guys. also, we were going through a pretty big radiohead phase at the time, which is particularly obvious on "falling behind".
it got some pretty nice reviews in obscure publications - i was particularly chuffed with plan b's "beautifully sculpted indie pop" and comparison to the family cat.
cdr released by the reverse in 2004.
download.
