back from honeymoon, back to work, back to reality, back in black blah blah. suffice it to say it was great... maybe now all that organising is over i'll be able to spend a little more time on this blog. maybe.
anyone heard of june? i know there are a couple of bands out there called june. and the one i'm talking about seems to be very little known, having released just one album. pretty much all i could find (admittedly after only a couple of mins on google) was that they formed in chapel hill in the mid-90s, released this album on beggars banquet in 1996, then broke up while touring to support it.
they were brilliant, in a mid-90s indie rock meets sundays (well they had a female singer anyway!) kind of way. or maybe a muscular heavenly?
no idea what happened to any of the members after that. if anyone has a clue, please let me know.

Hey, thought you might be interested to hear a few singles by June that preceded their CD, which I've posted at themythicsignifier.blogspot.com. I believe that the band's singer, Kat Cook, is now in a band called Cucoloris; Andy Mcgowan is a chef in Durham; Mathew Gross is a political campaign guy; not sure about the others. Anyway, nice blog--I look forward to seeing your future posts.
play the guitar solos on that track. I'm alive and well and living in North Carolina. I'm glad you like the track. I was having beers with Andy (bass) tonight and he had just listened to the album for the first time in a while so I was looking for it online. You made my night!
June would pack the house when they played shows in Chapel Hill. Excellent band, sadly gone. I don't know if Kat's band Cucoloris is still together.
