one of a pair of records released by rough trade shop's soul static sound label, the other being by the sea & cake, which for some reason i didn't buy when i bought this one (at least i don't think i did).anyway, tortoise is one of those bands that has managed to lose more and more of my interest with each release. their debut lp still thrills, whereas "standards" just bores.
this 7" is someone in between those two, but being an earlier release it's close to thrill than bore.
