my first exposure to tindersticks, and at first i wasn't sure what to think, the joy of the music conflicting with stuart's slightly off-key delivery. but i found myself being drawn back to it time again, with "she" and the bowie cover "kooks" becoming regular compilation tape features.
there's something very enigmatic about tindersticks, an enigma that i think is only enhanced by the crackliness of this rip.
note that the a-side sounds like it's distorting - not sure if that's just my copy or the mastering. it's been a while since i played this.
7" released by domino in 1993.
