scarfo | luxury plane crash

the jury's still out on the kills as far as i'm concerned; they have a few good songs but there's something hugely contrived about their rock n roll heroin chic aesthetic - they try so hard to seem wasted, apparently intoxicated by sixties era stones and the mystique of the struggling junkie musician. and don't get me started on kate moss.

but to get to the point, jamie's previous band, scarfo, were ace. and here's their second album, featuring 12 slices of indie rock heaven.

released by deceptive in 1997.

be a pig.

I didn't know you still did this blog joe.

And yes, Scarfo were ace. Still regret never getting the cd single of Bingo England, cos it apparently had a version of Car Chase from their first (mini) LP, but with vocals...

And yeah, The Kills are shite in comparison.

How come you're in Atlanta anyway? I saw you got married (congrats), did you marry an Atlantan? Is that even a word?
